Its symptoms are laziness, sitting too long in bed after waking up, dragging the body to the wash room and counting the number of chews during breakfast. Then there comes the tardiness, a mind that processes slowly, lazy body, etc. Hehe… Lazy Monday indeed. Its cure is to call in sick, sleep or rest in the middle of the day at the workplace.

And no I didn’t do the recommended cure. Instead, I downed 2 cups of coffee and I was in a case of coffee overdose as I am the kind of person who is not used to drinking coffee.

I can’t quiet get that song out of my head today. I heard it sang by my friend’s sister on her wedding.

Lea:
You know some kids ask us what happiness really is.
Well, to me happiness is a hamburger, going to the movies, new clothes.
Well, what’s your happiness, gerard?

Gerard:
My happiness is a hotdog sandwich, new rubber shoes, new t-shirts,
New jeans and also my favorite part of happiness is love.

Lea:
Happiness is two kinds of ice cream
Finding your skate key, telling the time
Happiness is learning to whistle
Tying your shoe for the very first time
Happiness is playing the drum in your own school band
And happiness is walking hand in hand

Gerard:
Happiness is five different crayons
Knowing a secret, climbing a tree
Happiness is finding a nickel
Catching a firefly, setting him free
Happiness is being alone every now and then
And happiness is coming home again

Lea:
Happiness is morning and evening

Gerard:
Daytime and nighttime, too

Both:
For happiness is anyone and anything at all
That’s loved by you

Gerard:
Happiness is having a sister

Lea:
Sharing a sandwich

Both:
Getting along
Happiness is singing together when day is through
And happiness is those who sing with you

Happiness is morning and evening
Daytime and nighttime, too
For happiness is anyone and anything at all
That’s loved by you

Planets alignments, earthquakes everywhere, judgment day on May 22, end of the world, etc.

As the movie Lion King said it, “It doesn’t matter.”

“Al is vel”, says Ranchodas Shamaldas Chanchad of the movie 3 Idiots.

Who can exactly say when the end of the world is? Rather, who cares? Humanity is so caught up with materialism, fake love, selfishness and greed that only a few really knows what love really means.

Fact or opinion.

Mari once exclaimed in her FB account her wish that it’ll be June soon. Good for her. Though we’re halfway through with the summer, it has been 1week since we started with our school’s summer reading program. And summer for me has been abruptly halted with my work. I’m not complaining, I just got used to having summer with less work in school and more time with the youths. In fact, with our summer reading program, I don’t make lesson plans or daily plans for the class, unlike the regular school year. What I prepare are the guidelines for the program, broken down in weeks, observing the goals we want to reach at the end of this program. However, with all these and not much resources, I thought of making my own book. Ambitious isn’t it. For one, not all books in general caters to children with special needs. And not everything that’s written in the book covers the lessons I intended to share to my kids. Some may be used as resources but not one can cater everything. Oh well. Let’s see. When I’ll be finish with my book, I can make good use of it. I want to sell textbooks. I want to sell it mainly to my students so they will know what to study and what I will be taking up. In a way, it will be a little easier for me to teach. By golly, we’ll never know, would we?

I’m not saying I don’t have any personal purchases over the year. But I count this Team Pinoy 2011 planner as the most worthy so far. Wanna know why? By buying this planner, I am helping an organization help our country and its citizen. Complicated? Not really. Its just helping someone help. Hehe.. Wait. I think I’m confusing myself as well. Its just like that. There are just some aspects which are out of my reach. I may not be the planner-type person, the person who frequently jots notes and events on a planner. Yet, I wanted to help. It just happened that a friend gave me an opportunity to do so. Its just a simple way, affordable though. Yet helpful I believe.
