Much has happened this month and the last. The busy schedules and piled-up paperwork that needs to be submitted as soon as possible, the children practices and worries that they might not be able to memorize or even just familiarize all 5 tasks they’ll be doing for our moving up ceremony come March 26, the exams and papers that I will still be grading, completion of their cards and submission of their progress reports, planning and logistics for the upcoming camp, etc. Hahayz.. Never ending.. Looking forward to our boss’ overnight stay at a local resort which has a pool. I’d probably be at the pool most of the time. Pardon me for that. I’ve since longed to dip and have laps but couldn’t find the time and the urge to do so. Laziness at times overpowers me. So.. This post is not about my rant on my job and responsibilities, rather, I am even more thankful I have a job and an income at that. Plus, the kids were so nice and lovable. I never wish to be parted with some of them.
Despite the busy schedules and all that, I am grateful that I could take a day off from work worries and enjoy the time with the Cugman Boiz and the other youths. Seeing them encourages me. Much more when some boiz show up unexpectedly, some would show with their skills being used, some eager to learn, some eager to share news on their lives, some just want to mingle because they missed it. February 28 was different. It was by far encouraging and energy-boosting. Last Sunday was another day to cherish with the boiz though. Pardon me for writing again about the youths I’m involved with. I couldn’t imagine my life without them right now. I wouldn’t have known more about playing the musical instruments, I wouldn’t have known how to relax, be loved and cared for unconditionally, as one youth would say it. Even trivial things like; one youth showing up, or a youth playing the guitar, or just a short engaging talk with them or one of them is already a nice gift to my busy, brain- and energy-draining week. I’m glad, so glad I am with them. Despite our rotating power interruptions, that is.
