It was quiet a while that I haven’t posted something here. Sorry for that. Got caught up in my work and other stuff. Anyway.. March is fast approaching and as early as now, we are already preparing for our moving up program presentations. They’ll be doing 4 presentations, the handmime again, a skit, a song and dance and another farewell song. Thinking about it, that in a few days they’d be leaving my blue room made me sad and almost in tears. These kids had become close to me. As a preschool teacher, I get to play with them sometimes. Play in the sense that I also shoot blocks with them, build towers and play memory cards with them. In response, they were the ones inviting me to play with the nonetheless. It is also good to know that as early as February I have seen tremendous changes and improvement in their academics. One kid was so word smart that she has words unkown to the preschoolers or even to the elementary students. One girl amazed me because she is very slow in paper works and memory, but could easily memorize a line after I’ve said it. One kid even had self-esteem problem when he came to us, now he is so all-around-the-room. One kid though had phonetic problems but is ahead of her classmates in Math. He has advance number sense that amazes me. I never knew he could do subtraction already when we haven’t even discussed simple problem solving in addition. Gosh.. They’re not mine to hold. Thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to take care and teach them. They are a blessing.
